This compact, folding magnifying glass is an essential tool for hand-weavers aiming to create a perfectly balanced cloth.
To use: fold the tool so the square ruler sits flat on your weaving and the magnifying glass is exactly above it. Looking through the glass, count how many picks (weft yarns) there are within either the centimetre or inch markers, depending on your preference. A balanced cloth will have exactly the same amount of picks in a square centimetre as ends (warp yarns). Best used while cloth is under tension on the loom.
